An interesting week here at Hurn. Migrants included Vestal, Clancy's Rustic, Four-spotted Footman, Delicate, Dark Sword Grass, White-point and Silver Y. Also had 2 Banded Pine Carpet, Southern Chestnut and plenty of Turnips. Also, unusually for here, this morning there were 7 Flounced Chestnut in the trap. A rather windy mild night, only result was 5 moths in the trap this morning, Silver y, Black Rustic, Shuttle-shaped -Dart, Lunar Underwing, Lesser Yellow Underwing.
Edit as found another 3 moths in the egg trays when sorting them out for trapping with the 20W actinic tonight

A good selection given the weather conditions- 19 species of macro including 1 Delicate, 2 White-point, 4 Barred Swallow, 1 Yellow- line Quaker, 2 Chestnut and a rather surprising garden- tick in the form of a Blair's Wainscot (which was sitting by the trap at 22.30)- I'd love to know where that came from...

An amazing night here, the best for ages with two new garden macros: Golden Twin-spot and Brindled Ochre. An excellent back-up cast including 4 Clancy's Rustic, Brindled Green, Feathered Brindle, Large Wainscot (2), Sallow (2), Swallowtail, Smoky Wainscot, Pinion-streaked Snout (2), Red Underwing, Wax Moth and Mecyna asinalis. Also a very high count of 76 Lunar Underwing.
