Warm night but bright moon produced two new species for the garden : Nutmeg and Scarce Footman.
Also an early Dusky Thorn.

Among the 28 species were: Twenty-plume Moth, Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, Ringed China-mark, Ruby Tiger, Cherry Bark Tortrix, Rosy Rustic, Early Thorn, Rosy Footman and White Plume. Apart from a day-flying Hummingbird Hawk and an occasional Silver Y immigrants still hard to come by here.

A mild overcast night produced 46 species including: Silver Y, Marbled Beauty, Broken-barred Carpet, Flounced Rustic, Red-barred Tortrix, White Plume, Black Arches, Dark Arches, July Highflyer, European Corn-borer, Herald, Euzophera pinguis, Endotricha flammealis and Eudonia mercurella.
Black Arches is certainly not a regular here, despite plenty of oak woodland nearby, but more of a surprise came in the form of a single Oncocera semirubella.
