Winterborne Stickland - 23rd July
A mild overcast night produced 46 species including: Silver Y, Marbled Beauty, Broken-barred Carpet, Flounced Rustic, Red-barred Tortrix, White Plume, Black Arches, Dark Arches, July Highflyer, European Corn-borer, Herald, Euzophera pinguis, Endotricha flammealis and Eudonia mercurella.

Black Arches is certainly not a regular here, despite plenty of oak woodland nearby, but more of a surprise came in the form of a single Oncocera semirubella. It was one of several escapees, which after searching nearby vegetation, I eventually found sitting quietly on my shirt.
