Tolpuddle - micros in July/August/September
Thanks to Phil for looking at my micros.  The best of the bunch were Bryotropha basaltinella (7/8) and Parornix fagivora (29/7).  Also of interest were Ptocheussa paupella (9/8 and 2 on 13/8), Buccalatrix nigricomella (4/9), Phyllocnistis saligna (2 on 30/7, 31/7 and 11/8), Echtodemia decentella (13/8), Coleophora lineolea (21/7), Argyresthia albistria (4/8), Phyllonorycter blancardella (8/9), Phyllonorycter trifasciella (9/8), Stigmatella anomalella (8/8) and Coleophora peribenanderi (25/6).

Two late Brown-spot Pinion.  I haven't had any for some weeks.  Waring says that the flight season ends in October.  Records on the DMG website end in the middle of October.

18 species. On the migrant front Gem NFY, along with 6 U. ferrugalis and singles of P. xylostella and P. vitrealis. Also of note 2 Y. ustella, A. rhombana and white point.

20 species NFY :Winter moth, December moth, Sprawler, Spruce carpet, mottled umber and Caloptilia honoratella/hemidactylella. On the migrant front singles of Radfords flame shoulder, silver y and rdp.

Winterborne Stickland - 8th November
A foggy and exceptionally mild night produced thirteen species including: Palpita vitrealis, Silver Y, Double-striped Pug (presumably a partial 3rd generation), Chestnut, Yellow-line Quaker, White-point, Grey Pine Carpet, Common Marbled Carpet, Setaceous Hebrew Carpet and December Moth.

Yetminster 7th November
After a prolonged period of inactivity, 11 species were caught including 1 very dark Mottled Umber, 1 Red-green Carpet, 2 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 December Moth, 1 Cypress Carpet, 4 Feathered Thorn, 1 Dark Sword-grass, 1 Sprawler. A great selection to visit my garden!

21 species including FFY Cypress Carpet, Red-green Carpet, Oak Rustic, Large Wainscot and Chestnut. Migrants were Rusty-dot Pearl (15) and singles of Palpita vitreals, Silver Y and Delicate.

22 species with a good range of migrants - 7 RDP, 3 Palpita vitrealis, 1 Blair's Mocha (poss. resident here), 1 Cosmopolitan (FFG), 1 Golden Twin-spot (FFG) and 5 Silver Y. Also, what look to be 3 Crocidodesma plebejana.

FFY one Oak Rustic and one Cypress Carpet.  I had three Oak Rustic last year, so maybe the latest catch shows that they are breeding on the Holm Oak in the garden.  Also one late Vine's Rustic and four late White-point.
