An interesting set of moths last night, with December Moth and Mottled Umber rubbing shoulders with a migrant Four-spotted Footman and a late Straw Dot. In all 106 moths of 24 species, with Feathered Thorn (32) and Yellow-line Quaker (22) predominating. Also good numbers of Red-green Carpet (10) and Spruce Carpet (5). Other migrants represented by a single Vestal, 3 Rush Veneer, 11 Rusty-dot Pearl and 2 Silver Y. A single Plutella porrectella, only the second garden record, was also notable.
