Last week I spent 3 nights in Ryall (close to Bridport) on a short break. I didn't bring any moth traps, but the first night was especially mild (November 21st) and a number of moths came to the window. It included one that looked like a Buff Footman, but was way too late. So I took it home and this morning I dissected it and can confirm it is indeed a male Buff Footman. Chatting this morning to Martin Townsend, he doesn't know of any records this late. I see the CMR post is currently vacant, who receives records at the moment? Peter Hall Hereford County Micro-moth Recorder vc-36
