Species Account

Davey, P., 2020: Brindled Plume Amblyptilia punctidactyla: A widespread species across Britain, the larva feeding on hedge woundwort Stachys sylvatica. In Dorset, this species is marginally less often encountered than Amblyptilia acanthadactyla,1497. It also tends to be found in rather more humid, more shaded biotypes than its cogener, especially in wooded areas and increasingly in shaded gardens.
