Davey, P., 2009: A widely distributed species throughout Britain, but local in the south-east of its range, the larva feeding on small lichens growing on stones and on branches of trees in open situations. In Dorset, the moth is locally abundant along the Purbeck and west Dorset coasts, and on Portland. Elsewhere, the rather scattered nature of the records suggest dispersal from the coast on occasion.
