Species Account

Davey, P., 2020: Brown Plume Stenoptilia pterodactyla: A species found across the UK, more frequently in the south than in the north, the larva feeding on germander speedwell Veronica chamaedrys. In Dorset, the species occurs mainly on alkaline soils, particularly on unimproved dry grassland, but also along forest edge, tracks and within forest clearings on chalk.
